LOL If this doesn't illustrate my tension, I don't know what will! You see the hook size?!? Yep, talk about a tight tension, at least on smaller amigurumi patterns.
I had run out of 6mm safety eyes so I used black felt along with pink felt for the cheeks, yellow for the beak, and two white hearts for the tummy, which I blanket stitched together with DMC 321.
It would be really cute if I had made an envelope with a tiny heart on it that the owl carries in its beak!!

Cute!! And I agree, the little envelope would've been adorable. It would be easier to get an envelop charm to attach the beak. :)
