Summer Blueberry Cobbler
Good afternoon! Using our summer blueberries, I made this blueberry cobbler an hour ago. I used this recipe. It turned out quite well especially considering my previous baking disaster with blueberry cobblers.
I hope you have a lovely weekend baking, reading, or crafting!
Until next time >____<

Summer Solstice
Good afternoon. I hope you all are enjoying the first day of summer. I spent the morning picking blueberries and working in the yard. I managed to take the time to get some pictures of some of the flowers blooming in our yard.
Hydrangeas, paper whites, and beautiful pink hibiscus!

Blueberry crumble muffins and blogging
Good morning! I woke up this morning with blueberries on my mind. June 21st marks my blog anniversary; I can't believe I've made it this far in my blogging. In celebration of that and the Summer Solstice earlier in the week, I made blueberry crumble muffins.

I picked blueberries from my grandfather's bushes on Thursday and froze them for baking this morning. Talk about yum! The crumble topping is made with light brown sugar and sliced almonds :)
I would like to thank everyone who reads and comments on my blog. I appreciate every comment I get!!
I'm off to watch some more Sherlock Holmes episodes while stitching on my Liz Gorsk pattern. Until next time ^___^

Three years and blueberries!
I posted for the first time on this blog three years come tomorrow. That year, my first post was about picking blueberries. Alot has happened since then with a change of jobs, the passing of loved ones, and all the ups and downs of life.
Today, my mother thought it would be a great day to pick blueberries. An early celebration, if you will, of the Summer Solstice and three years of sharing my love of cross-stitching with my online friends.

Freshly washed blueberries....perfect for all sorts of yummies!
I am still reading Nicholas Nickleby and almost near the end of the novel with the protagonist trying to thwart his evil uncle's plans and fight for the love of his life.
I hope to get back to cross-stitching this week after I finish reading my book.
Have a happy Summer Solstice tomorrow!

Happy Summer Solstice!

Bluebells at Royal Holloway, Egham, Surrey, England
A late post for the summer solstice! I hope everyone had a great Solstice yesterday, which actually coincided with Father's Day this year as well.
The heat has been unbearable for the last week or two with the heat index reaching 108 degrees. Very odd weather for June, usually it waits to knock us senseless with the heat until mid-July and into August.
LOL Definitely makes me wish for that field of bluebells and the cool afternoons in Egham right now!
Until next time!

Summer Solstice fun :)

Hi,
This is my first blog post! Woohoo! I've had everything else put on my blog so far like favorite books, LNS, and blogs, but no posts. I was trying to think of what to post about! Well, since I was at work on the summer solstice (yesterday) I didn't get to do anything fun for it :(
So after today's cleaning around the house I decided to pick some blueberries. My grandmother came out and helped too. This is the second batch of berries to come from our bushes. We think we might get one more batch of them before the summer is over!
I hope everyone enjoys my blog.
