Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery Halloween Sampler Finished!
Pattern: Halloween Sampler by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery
Fabric: 32ct light grey linen
Threads: recommended DMC
Start/Finish: 8/29 - 9/13/2015
I was able to finish stitching my Halloween Sampler pattern this afternoon. I always have fun stitching on Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery designs. While all the motif blocks were adorable, my favorites were the witch, candy ninja, and the ghosts.
I hope the ladies at Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery put out some new designs this year for the fall season.

Halloween Sampler start
Pattern: Halloween Sampler by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery
Fabric: 32ct light grey linen
Threads: recommended DMC
Start: 8/29/2015
Good evening! Yesterday I had stopped by my local Hobby Lobby to get some supplies for finishing my HoE project, but I wasn't able to find what I was looking for. I will have to go into town next weekend to either Michael's or Joann's Fabrics to see if I can find what I am looking for otherwise I will have to think of a different finishing technique.
With my plans for finishing on hold, I decided to start on another fall cross stitch project, the Halloween Sampler by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. So far my favorite motif is the little witch in the 'W' block. I am using the fabric I bought in CA from We, of the Needle shop.
Can you believe it is already the end of August? I can't, but I admit that I'm glad. I have never been a 'summer' person despite being raised in the south. I'd rather have cool weather so I'm relieved that the fall is on its way.
Cool mornings, crunchy leaves, sweaters, and fall holidays......you can't go wrong with that!

Once Upon A Time cross stitch sampler finished! Happy dance time!
Last month I received the final installment in Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's monthly OUAT sampler. I actually guessed the final design, it was Hansel and Gretel. I thought perhaps that would be the design for December since it featured a gingerbread house and lots of candies...perfect for Christmas.
I had a lot of fun stitching on this sampler last year. My favorite motif in December's block was the house.
Here is the sampler in its entirety:
It is a bit hard to pick a favorite month, but I think it's a tie between Snow White and Goldie Locks and the Three Bears because of all the cute motifs in each block.
I'm sure I'll stitch on Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery patterns in the future. They are always cute and a joy to stitch.
Until next time ^___^

Fox amongst dandelions cross stitch
Pattern: Fox from Woodland Sampler by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery
Threads: DMC 310, 351, 470, 782, 919, 937, B5200, and Ecru
Fabric: 28 ct evenweave antique white by Charles Craft
Start/Finish: 11/10-11/2014
I had purchased Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's Woodland Sampler last year since it featured a multitude of cute woodland creatures in blocks. I knew I could stitch up quite a few of them individually to make into gifts for friends.
I think my favorite so far in the sampler is the fox. It looks so adorable amongst a field of dandelions.
Hopefully tomorrow I can start some Christmas designs for my gift giving this year.

OUAT Progress
I was able to finish the border on my Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery OUAT sampler this weekend. I love the dark colors used in the border motifs.
By the time I finish the pattern in December, I'll actually be completely done with a design. Happy dance time!

OUAT October Finish
I've spent the morning and early afternoon stitching this month's OUAT block by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. It's such a cute tale to stitch. I wonder what tale will be next month's design? I have a feeling that at least December will be Hansel and Gretel with candy motifs, but who knows.
I hope I can stitch a bit on the border this month so the whole design will be finished in December.

Kawaii Cinderella
This is my progress on the OUAT block for October. I hope to finish it up this week.
I should have realized that the theme for the month would have been Cinderella since it involves a pumpkin, which is perfect for the month of October.

August OUAT Block
Start/Finish: 8/3-4/2014
I love this month's block! When I showed my friend Kristina, she didn't know the fairy tale. I was quite surprised, I thought for sure that everyone knew of the musicians of Bremen....obviously not :*(
I wonder what next month's sampler will be!

July OUAT Sampler
Start/Finish: 7/9-13/2014
Kristina and I weren't able to make it on Friday night because of lovely southern storms, but on the bright side, I was able to stitch some more on July's OUAT block.
My favorite motifs are the mouse, butterfly, and the fish. I can't wait to see next month's design.
In other news, you won't see us at August's Artwalk because Kristina and I will be out of the country. We are going to Peterborough, Ontario for my friends Constance and Jim's wedding. We are only staying a few days so we will likely see some museums and historic sites. They have some cross stitch and yarn shops too!!!

Cherry Blossom Festival
Fabric: 28 ct evenweave antique white linen
Threads: recommended DMC threads
Start/Finish: 5/17-26/2014
I love this design! It's adorable! All the kawaii motifs. As soon as I saw this design posted on hey porkchop! blog, I knew I was going to buy it that day! I'm an impatient stitcher and instead of looking online for the recommended fabric (which was gorgeous!), I went by my local HB and bought some linen to start stitching!!!
Thanks again Frosted Pumpkins Stitchery! You girls have the cutest designs. They always put a smile on my face when I stitch them :)

Once Upon a Time sampler progress
Good afternoon, everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend :)
I finished stitching up April's block on the OUAT sampler. My favorite motifs on this month's block were the three bears. I absolutely adore their little bows >___<

I am currently stitching on another design. I got the pattern in the mail on Friday and started it yesterday afternoon after buying some linen fabric and the recommended threads. But after stitching quite a few of the letters, I really didn't like the variegated thread that I was using. The lines of color are too long in the thread to make the 'variegated' aspect noticeable.
I was going to buy some more fabric and start over today, but then I realized that everything would be closed because of the holiday. Silly me! So on to plan B, I am going to go through my thread stash and pick a solid color and 'pull' out all the lettering and stitch them over. Luckily, the darkness of the variegated lettering (staining on fabric if any) won't show once I stitch over them!

Once Upon A Time Sampler - March block
Still love stitching on this design. My favorite element of this month's block was a cute little wolf. He doesn't seem very fearsome!

Once Upon A Time
Pattern: Once Upon a Time by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery
Fabric: 28ct Jobelan lambswool Wichelt
Threads: recommended DMC
Start: February 17, 2014
I had been tempted for a while by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's OUAT monthly sampler since they dropped hints of it late last year. I finally purchased it earlier in February and have been in love with the designs so far.
The only drawback? Not being able to stitch on the recommended fabric! Ugh.....you should go check out their website! They are stitching the design on a gorgeous hand-dyed and glittery linen fabric from Picture This Plus. I wish I had the patience to buy the fabric, but I decided I had to start stitching on this pattern so went and bought fabric from my local HB.
The fabric issue aside, I'm definitely loving this pattern and can't wait for each month's installment.

Japanese Cuteness!
Pattern: Around The World: Japan by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery
Fabric: 32ct cream linen Wichelt
Threads: recommended DMC and DMC 3820 for metallic
Start/Finish: 8/2-31/2013
Finally a cross stitch finish! I was determined to finish it yesterday since I had been working on and off on this design all month. My family was watching the football game last night so I sat with them and cross stitched.
This is another 'kawaii' design from FPS. I always love their designs! I have a fun 'finishing' idea for this design, but it won't happen until much later.
I will say that I will definitely stitch on lower counts of linen when I start a new project. I forgot how tiny the stitches on 32 count could be......not to mention the slow progress.
