Sweet Christmas stitching progress

After doing some baking this morning, I pulled out Sweet Christmas by Cuore e Batticuore. I was planning on doing a rotation with my Sampler 4 Saisons pattern, but I ended up stitching all day on Sweet Christmas.

I blame my stitching needle. I bought some size 28 tapestry needles earlier. I forgot how tiny they are.....I am so used to using size 24 or 26 because I normally can't find size 28 in the stores.

Maybe I should switch back to 24 or 26?! It seems like I stitch faster with those sizes.

Do they make longer needles in the 28 size or are they always that tiny? Hmm...

I am loving the dessert I am stitching on, a strawberry cake! It's an adorable motif so far :)

Hopefully next Sunday, I can work on a rotation and not just this pattern O_o"

Have a great week, everyone!

Until next time >___<

  1. I love the strawberry cake, and the white shows up nicely on that linen (I always have trouble making sure my whites show!). This is Stephanie from the HOE exchange, I couldn't find a way to email you, do you mind emailing me and i'll send you details on the exchange? I'm bluestarstitcher@gmail.com

    1. I always end up using B5200 on my cross stitch as white never seems white enough on cream colored linens.

Check your email. I sent you one about the exchange :)

    1. Strawberry cake is one of my favorites. My grandmother made a strawberry shortcake when we were kids that was delicious. I wish I had gotten the recipe from her.

    1. Thanks :)

It will take me a while to finish the pattern on a 32ct since I'm so used to 28ct, but it will be worth it :)

  4. I can understand that you were working only on Sweet Christmas - these strawberries are kind of addictive, aren't they? Lol.
I only stitch with 28 needles no matter what the fabric count is. I tried 26 and 24 needles as well but for me they are too thick.

    1. Yes, they are! Lol

Wow! You are a patient lady. I don't think I could stitch with 28 needles all the time. I am so used to the larger needles that 28 seems like a fairy's needle!
