Sir Henry the Octopus!
Pattern: Lion Brand Yarn freebie
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Party Sparkle Teal
Hook: Size H
Start/Finish: 8/19-22/2012
Isn't he adorable?!?! And I think I'm doing a lot better at my yarn tension! Sweet >___<
The lighting in my picture doesn't do the yarn color any justice at all as it has blue flecks of tinsel thread in it that makes it sparkle all over and the yarn is actually a darker blue.
Here is the color of the yarn from a picture on Caron's website.
Even that photo doesn't do the color justice! I recommend going by your local craft shop and checking out the Party line of colors. They are gorgeous!!
Until next time ^___^
Woohoo!
I had my first sale in my Etsy shop over the weekend. Since this was my first customer, I added some freebies to the package.
She purchased one of the SM cell phone charms. She wanted it as a keyring charm so I changed it for her. I have lots of keyring findings in my stash so it wasn't a problem at all.
In her package, I included a cute thank you card, a sheet of kawaii stickers, the keyring charm in an Oriental bag, and a I Heart Nerds notepad. I hope she likes it all ;)

Amigurumi
I've been working on a few small amigurumi plushies over the weekend and tonight.
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Autumn Red
First off, a tiny owl amigurumi! I wanted to make it into a keychain charm so I added some Halloween-themed ribbon, dark green button eyes, and orange felt for the beak and tummy.
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Autumn Red and Limelight
Two strawberries using two different patterns. The strawberry on the left was quite large. I used a size G hook. I found another pattern in one of the books I got for my birthday so I tried that one for a smaller strawberry. I borrowed a size F hook from my aunt to make it smaller ;)
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Limelight
A takochu! Isn't it cute? I used 6mm safety eyes on this one. This is a fun pattern, but stitching the bottom 'flower' part can be tricky especially if you are a beginner!
Yarn: Red Heart Worsted White
I stitched this one up tonight while watching the Olympics. I'm not too enthused about my stitching on this one! You have to join two magic rings and stitch around.......I never seemed to be right on my stitch counts. I'll have to try this one again some time when I get better at crocheting ;)
And I still need to work on my tension.....I'm a tight stitcher......>___<
