Charming!

With my new kit and clays from Modes4u, I made some charms yesterday. I plan on making several charm bracelets from the pink macaroons and cookies.

I wish I could make some more charms, but I used up all my clay! Egads!!! Speaking of clay, has anyone ordered from Jbox? They have fuwa clay too, but I've never ordered from them before......any thoughts?

Until next time ^____^

Totoro

Pattern: Totoro by Lucy Collin
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft Grey Heather
Hook: Size H
Notions: 10mm safety eyes, white felt, white fleece, and DMC 310 and 414
Start/Finish: 4/1-21/2013

Finally! A FINISH!!! I found time to finish up stitching the arms and tail this week and today I finished up my Totoro. Instead of crocheting the tummy, I used some white fleece and used a blanket stitch on the edges and a backstitch for the grey tufts.

Cute, huh? I like him, he's adorable ;)

Sunday crafting

Some more fun today! I went by Michael's this morning to get a large basket to hold all my yarn that has been taking over the house! I wandered into their Perler bead section, which is so much better than Hobby Lobby's! They have individual color packages that you can buy. Granted you could probably buy them cheaper on eBay, etc, but I bought several packs of white and black anyway ;)

I made another milk carton to go with the juice carton! Too cute! I like the Link coaster, but I think next time I won't follow the pattern and just make his hair completely yellow and his face a cream color.

This week I'm hoping to finish up a Totoro amigurumi that I have been working on. It is quite large! Egads!!! Luckily when I was at Michael's they had the color of Caron yarn that I needed to continue working on my Totoro :)

Until next time ^____^

Saturday Fun!

Perler beads are addictive~! My favorite is the milk carton, but I need to redo it because some of the colors bled together because I had the iron on it for too long. I also hope to make a juice carton to go along with it as a set of coasters ;)

I love the cake too.....next time I hope to make the bottom layer pink instead of yellow.

Until next time ^____^

Quidditch

Patterns: Ideal Spheres by Ms. Premise Conclusions
Yarn: I Love This Yarn Sun Yellow and Caron Simply Soft White
Hook Size: size G for ball and size H for wings
Finished wings and stitched together: 4/1/2013

I'm so proud of myself! LOL For a small reason, but I take what I can get..... I was able to make some wings this morning for my Golden Snitch. As you know, I'm not good at chain stitching so I'm amazed I could make the wings for my snitch without resorting to failure and making them out of felt.

Until next time ^___^
